Timeline

WinnipegFIRST is a community-created web site about Winnipeg, Manitoba, and the surrounding towns and area. WinnipegFIRST encourages our members to contribute stories and articles of the goings on in Winnipeg, and we want our members to comment on those stories. We are interested in news, people and events that happen in and around Winnipeg. We want to share what is happening in our community centres, schools and neighbourhoods.

Guidelines for submission:

  1. You must have agreed to the WinnipegFIRST Terms and Conditions
  2. Please remember that this web site is about Winnipeg and the surrounding area. All stories should have a Winnipeg slant to them.
  3. Please tell the truth. Opinion is fine, however we do not want rumours and lies on the site.
  4. Stories do not need to be long - be concise and clear. Detailed and specific information is encouraged.
  5. Please share information and stories that you feel are beneficial to your neighbours.
  6. Please respect peoples' privacy and feelings.
  7. Writing, photos, images, video and audio must be your own. All material copyrighted by other parties is not permitted and will be removed when discovered.
  8. Language, images, audio and video must be appropriate for all ages. Offensive material may be edited or removed.
  9. You are responsible for what you post, and others may comment on it.
  10. Please add links within the text of the article, if possible. Adding links makes your article a great source for readers.
  11. Please limit your comments to the subject of the post on which you are commenting.
  12. Personal attacks in your writing or comments will not be tolerated. Anyone engaging in such behaviour will be suspended from participating with the community at WinnipegFIRST.

WinnipegFIRST is not responsible or liable for any stories posted by members on the WinnipegFIRST.ca web site. I came to Churchill in 1997 to celebrate my 60th birthday and to see the bears; what I remember most is the friendliness and the welcome. I hope to come again soon. best wishes to you all, Brian Stapleton

I am interested in the story on the Sieman's Artiste that was supposed to be here in 2008. Is there any update on the arrival and when it will be available to patients?
